Workers’ Voice International Meeting 2026

Belgrade, 31 January – 1 February

From the Workplace: Engaging the Organized Working Class Today

The Workers’ Voice International Meeting took place on January 31 and February 1, 2026, in Belgrade, bringing together more than 70 labor organizers and trade union activists from 9 European countries. The meeting focused on exchanging experiences in union campaigns, workers’ initiatives, and workplace organizing, with a particular emphasis on developing cooperation and shared strategies.

We brought together labor organizers from across Europe in Belgrade.
Here is what we discussed.

On January 31 and February 1, we hosted more than 70 labor organizers and trade union activists from 9 European countries.
We discussed union campaigns, workers’ initiatives, and experiences of workplace organizing.
Our main goal was to get to know organizations that use methods similar to ours, exchange experiences, and understand where collaboration makes sense.
We explored the methodology of workers’ inquiry in more detail and paid special attention to organizing within supply chains as the most logical field for cooperation and practical proletarian internationalism today.
In addition to discussions, we held several workshops on strengthening workers’ power and democratizing trade unions.
Although we come from different theoretical traditions, we are united by our everyday work of organizing workplaces along class lines, which made it easy to agree on continuing cooperation through joint activities and future meetings.

In 2026, Radnički glas (Workers’ Voice) marks five years of grassroots efforts in amplifying workers’ struggles and building workers’ power in Serbia. Our work has drawn on both the long tradition of workplace organizing and new movements developing innovative organizing methods and rethinking class-struggle unionism.

We are convinced that our movement needs stronger international networks, more effective exchange of field practices, and renewed theoretical debate – especially across Europe. In this spirit, we have convened an international meeting of union and workplace activist groups and individuals.

The next meeting will take place on January 22–24, 2027, and will be organized with the involvement of additional organizations that took part in the 2026 meeting. For more information and application details, visit the 2027 meeting page or contact us at radnickiglas@gmail.com.
